Gill re-examines the tale to offer an alternative explanation: Athena did not do so to punish Medusa. Ares, God of war, is part of an illegal boxing club, and Poseidon has become an ecological activist, desperate to protect the seas. The book reads, “Some days, I am both wolf and woman, and I am still learning how to apologize for my wild.” The ACTUAL poem is, “Some days, I am more wolf than woman, and I am still learning how to stop apologizing for my wild.” The whole point of the poem is to NOT apologize for being who you are. I cannot wait to read more.

Dear Midnight by Zack Grey is a poetry book that you need to read. I bought this book based on a poem I read that was very cool and empowering. However, one thing I could not get used to was the fact that the book did not completely read like a poetry novel.
