It is a small island of just 14.5 acres, and is uninhabited. The best way to locate it is to look for it opposite the converted house on the left as you approach it along the road from Swanbridge. This island is linked to the caravan park by a treacherous causeway. A popular seafront pub (The Captain's Wife) has plenty of outdoor seating and a car park which doubles as a car park for the beach. You can have a snack or meal in the Pub which overlooks the Island. Please be aware that the cliffs in this bay are dangerous and should not be approached. Only at extreme low tide, is it safe to cross to the Island. Sully is a small tidal island off the coast at the hamlet of Swanbridge, midway between Penarth and Barry.
